Why this site exists
Writing about yourself is a strange design problem. You know too much, the reader knows too little, and the empty box often invites either over-explaining or generic language.
BioWriter.org gives you a quick first draft in three lengths. The guides on this site then help you edit that draft for context, credibility and voice.
Who made it
BioWriter.org is created by Art and the City, a design education studio in Amsterdam. We work with designers, creative professionals, students and small teams on visual communication, design and creative AI workflows.
Our approach
- Start concrete. A first usable draft is more helpful than an abstract lecture.
- Edit with judgment. Generated text is a starting point, not authority.
- Prefer specifics to adjectives. Real fields, audiences, methods and proof make a bio stronger.
- Keep context in view. A LinkedIn bio and an Instagram bio should not be identical.
About the generator
The current BioWriter generator runs in your browser. The name, role and highlights you enter are used on the page to construct draft text. The generator itself does not send those form entries to our server.
The site does use third-party services, including Google AdSense, which may process technical information as described in our Privacy Policy.
